Since everyone else was doing it, I went ahead and tested the Belief-O-Matic. And like everyone else, I'm a Unitarian Universalist. I think that's just a big word for "everyone just get the fuck along already."

8:01 am - Sir, I hate you.

I shouldn't be awake.
I should be asleep for the next two hours still. I didn't get to bed until a quarter till 3 last night, and I was woken up an hour ago by some crazy/drunk/drugged up man screaming. The screaming, of course, got louder as he came down the road closer to my apartment, which didn't help the "going back to sleep" situation. I have no idea what he was ranting about, but he was headed for the park, cursing up a storm. Part of me is curious as to the story behind it (since there was a man following him at a safe distance). The other part just hopes he was arrested for being a prick.
My allergies are horrible this morning. I took an off-brand benadryl, to help the allergies and hopefully put me back to sleep, but so far no success except for the fact that my nose is no longer leaking down my face. I'm just stuffy now.
I'm hungry now, too, but I think if I eat, I'll just end up more awake and I'll never get back to bed.
Running on four hours of sleep. Gross.

So, I just got back from Traci's 21st birthday party at McCarthy's. God, that was fun. Seriously, it was a blast, with Traci being "tipsy" off her ass and singing along to Baby Got Back. I think I drank the most I ever had in one sitting, which was nursing a Bacardi for most of the thing, then downing 3 shots (an orange bomb, apple jack, and a watermelon bomb) in the last 20 minutes.
What does this tell you about my life?
I'm not drunk. Not by a long shot. I can still recite the alphabet backwards and, you know, touch my nose and shit. But I'm kinda tipsy. Waiting to see if Corey gets my message and comes over after work.
I kinda lived vicariously through Traci tonight, since my birthday blew. We went out to dinner, then everyone proceeded to get trapped in my elevator for 45 minutes. Once they were all out, they came into my apartment and just drank the rest of the night away.
Whee. What fun.
I want a re-do. Seriously. I want an actual birthday party, not just everyone going, "Oh, you're 21! You gotta drink!" And what if I don't want to? I want to have fun, not throw back rum all night, dammit.
Haven't even gotten a cake yet...

9:40 pm - Traci's random list of things: Cat version
|
Things that scare me: spiders, clowns, and being alone long-term.
Things that turn me on: roughhousing. Not necessarily being pinned down, but a bit of wrestling, yeah.
Things that I find attractive on males: blue eyes and the back/shoulders area.
Fictional characters that I find overrated: anything on the Disney channel nowadays.
Things I judge people (of any gender) on: intelligence and a sense of humor.
Things I wish I could do: explain to people exactly why I am the way I am.

3:22 pm - My word, an entry
|
How long has it been since I've done one of these? Yeesh.
In just over 2 hours, I'll be on my way to Columbus for an extended weekend/mini-vacation. And damn, do I need it. Work is getting better, but it still sucks hardcore. Half of the front-end crew will be leaving sometime during the summer, so that means a whole heap of newbies coming in that I'll have to train, seeing as Karla (my manager) is also one of the ones leaving. While this is probably cause for celebration, since I'll most likely be getting promoted to some position of importance, it still sucks to have a ton of new people coming in at once. There's only so many eyes I can keep on everyone at once.
*sigh*
The first few weeks of having the new place have been rough. We seem to find little problem after little problem. Nothing serious, like the ceiling falling in, or anything. Just... little things here and there that need fixing and are somewhat bothersome.
That, and I get insanely lonely here. Like you wouldn't believe.
Gah. That's one of the reasons I need this trip so badly. I need to see my friends. I need reaffirmation that I even have friends (besides Traci). >.< I need somewhere where I can chill out, have fun, and forget how crap everything is right now.
Columbus is that place, apparently.
I've run out of steam.

Just got back from a long weekend spent in Columbus. Damn, did I need that little mini-vacation. Work was about to drive me batshit. Like "sir, I'm going to take this boxcutter to your hide if you don't stop bitching about your avocados" batshit.

We just got a new widescreen monitor for the downstairs computer. Reconfiguring everything was a little bit of a bitch, but all seems calm on the western front now.
Except the desktop photo. My parents look like the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man... >.<
...And now they're watching Underworld. I'm going to go cry now.

Directly copied and pasted from Traci's journal...
For the first three people who reply to me and re-post this challenge, I will send you something. It might be something I've made, or something cool from my hidden stash, it might be a mix CD - or a rubber duck, a book I think you will enjoy, or something else that is awesome. Whatever it is, I promise that I will get it to you in 365 days or less.
The only thing you need to do in order to participate is to be one of the first three to reply to this, AND post this very same thing on YOUR livejournal - 'cause its fun to give people stuff.
The first 3 participants win!
You should probably leave me an address as well. In order to receive said something.
